摘要：

劳伦斯的短篇小说《木马赢家》塑造了一个对金钱无餍足的追求而扭曲异化的母亲形象。本文探讨了母亲异化形象产生的根源及其后果,即金钱、物欲对人的心灵的扭曲和异化,并由此使人与人的关系变成纯金钱物质关系。

Abstract: In Lawrence's novel The Rocking-Horse Winner,it firstly tries to give a detail analysis on the source of the alienation of the mother's characteristic as well as the tragedy caused by the alienation.And then we explore the basic theme of this novel: the relationship of people alienated and distorted by money and the materialized relation among family members under the industrial civilization.
